“Life ain’t so fuckin’ simple…”

Exxe is a rapper, singer, songwriter from the Twin Cities(Minneapolis/St. Paul), Minnesota. With his distinctive flow and thought-provoking lyrics, Exxe has already made a name for himself in the local hip-hop scene and is looking to grow. Born in Atlanta, Exxe or full name Xavier Bradley, spent most of his early childhood in Southside Chicago’s Chatham neighborhood. It was here he made his first connections with music through his families' love of House, Hip Hop, R&B and Soul. This eventually grew into singing through his school's choir program, something he continued to do throughout his teens after he moved to Minnesota with his mother. Exxe started writing music in High School. First as a hobby with friends, rapping over instrumentals of radio songs they found on youtube but by the time he was into his first year of college was looking for new beats so he could make his own music.

While coming up he dropped 3 mixtapes on Soundcloud/Bandcamp but really came into his own with 2018’s Never Knows Best EP. As vulnerable as it is brief, the 5 song ep is a summary of all the emotions Exxe had been bottling up over the past year of not making music, which eventually led to a deep depression and breakdown. When asked, Exxe credits it as “the project that saved my life” fearing that had he not started making music again he would have fallen into an even deeper hole. In 2020 as the world stopped, Exxe saw it as an opportunity to keep moving by starting to explore new genres and collaborations. Over time this decision turned into 2023’s Miscellanea, a release of 16 songs individually that were grouped into a project after the fact, and a label Kyn Collective, brought together with CRXSH and Suite, two other Twin Cities artists. Now Exxe continues to evolve as he works on his first album.
